Halloween Costume…?

So for my Halloween costume, I’m being a fishermen. I have a black vest with a couple flies on it, a Tillie Hat with one in it and a fishing rod.
I have no gum boots, and I was going to take my brothers shirt and just I guess wear my baggy jeans, but I was going to make a moustache out of eye liner? Would it work?
