what are some good partner/couple Halloween costumes?
me and my best friend want to find a good halloween cotsumes that go together, we would prefer two girl cotsumes. but any ideas are goood !

My boyfriend and I always have coinciding costumes for Halloween. For example last year we were Batman and Robin. I need some fun ideas for this year. Something creative and fun not the stereotypical nurse and doctor or whatever. We are 21 if that helps.

My bf and I are going to a fancy dress Halloween party and want to go as a ‘couple’. We have been Frankenstein and his bride before, but can’t think of anything for this year. We are both pretty good at making costumes, as long as they’re not too complicated. It’s in England, so the costumes MUST have a scary theme (unlike in US where any costume goes, I think)
Any ideas?
There’s only Proximin that’s suggested anything scary.

Me and my boyfriend have a high school Halloween dance and the winners for the best costumes get a free limo and free tickets to semi and i want to win! We are having trouble coming up with creative costumes that aren’t repetitive. Suggestions would be Great! thanks xo

I recently got a short haircut, and I don’t know what costume to wear to go with it. I know it seems early to be thinking about halloween, but my family and I are going on holiday and halloween will fall in the last couple of nights. We’re going with a family who always have excellent halloween costumes, so mine has to be really good.
I’m brunette, so I can’t be Marilyn Munroe, and I can’t do anything too sexy, because I’ll be with family.
Any interesting ideas would be appreciated!! I don’t want to do the generic "witch" thing, because I’ve done it before. Also, I have to do this all on a low budget, I can’t afford to buy or hire a costume.

Jane And George Jetson
For a space age Halloween couples costume how about dressing up as Jane and George Jetson. This cartoon couple gives you a great excuse to get dolled up in futuristic fashion.
Jane Jetson’s outfit consists of a shiny purple dress with a stand up white collar. There is an orange wig and shiny purple boot tops to match the space age dress. Jane’s costume is available in sizes extra small/teen and adults small and medium.
To match Jane Jetson comes her husband George – his outfit comes with a characteristic jumpsuit, white on the top with blue pants. There is a green shiny belt and to top it off an orange wig.
For a female couple, or if you have a teenage daughter who wants to join in with the dressing up, there is another Jetson family member – Judy!
Judy Jetson’s outfit comes with a baby pink top with a stand up collar. There is a lighter pink skirt over hot pink shiny leggings and matching wristlets. Judy’s “do” is white and piled up high on her head.

The Jetsons was produced by Hanna-Barbera and was first aired on September 23, 1962. The Jetsons was Hanna-Barbera’s space age version of the Flintstones with futuristic contraptions, robots, holograms and new inventions. The series was so popular that more episodes were made between 1985 and 1987.

Vampires
This Halloween 2009 I have a feeling there will be quite a lot of vampire costumes about – inspired by Edward from the Twilight books and films. The Edwardian Vampire outfit comes with a long black coat with silver buttons, a cape, red velvet collar and ruffled lace trim with a medallion. Flame shoes, gloves and fangs are available separately. All you have to do is add a pair of black pants, paint your face a deathly shade of grey and add a trickle of blood coming from the corner of your mouth and the look is complete!
For the matching vampiress there is a full length black and deep red shimmering satin gown with lace trim with black loop braid and silver buttons. The outfit also includes a jeweled velvet choker and tulle and lace full petticoat. There is an optional vampira wig and a coffin clutch! Available in sizes from small to extra large.
Vampires are mythical creatures who are meant to get all their necessary nutrition by drinking the blood of other living creatures.
Originally vampires were said to wear shrouds and be of bloated, ruddy or dark countenance. In the early 19th century the description changed to the gaunt, pale vampires we know today. The word vampire was not used until the early 18th century when there was an increased level of vampire superstition in Europe. This led to some cases of corpses actually being staked and people being accused of actually being vampires.

Woody And Jessie
Now you can get involved in all the cowboy fun with this Jessie and Woody couples costume. Woody comes with jumpsuit, belt and vest as well as sheriff’s star, boot covers and a cowboy hat.

Toy Story 3, due for release in 2010 sees Woody and the rest of his friends dumped in a day care centre when Andy goes away to college.

Little Red Riding Hood And The Big Bad Wolf

The version of Little Red Riding Hood retold the most in the Brothers Grimm story. The girl is named Little Red Riding Hood because of the red hood she wears. The girl travels through a wood to bring food to her sick grandmother.
In the woods Red Riding Hood travels through, a wolf lives who stops her and gets her to tell him where she is going. He wishes to eat her, but is afraid to do so in public. He waylays her and rushes to get to the grandmothers house first, he eats the grandmother and dresses as her, hiding in her bed to fool the little girl.
When the girl arrives she thinks her grandmother looks a little strange, and she comments on certain features such as “what big teeth” she has. When the wolf replies with “all the better to eat you with” the girl realizes something is not right and runs, but the wolf catches her and eats her too. At the time there is a hunter going past, and he cuts the wolf open, rescuing Red and her grandmother, who the wolf ate whole.

Halloween Games
Traditional Halloween games were played with the fruit available at that time of year, which was apples and oranges.
One traditional Halloween game is apple bobbing. To play apple bobbing you need to fill a large tub or basin with water and float some apples in it. The participants kneel with their hands behind their backs beside the tub and the aim of the game is to remove an apple using only their teeth. Players must be prepared to get wet!
Some variations are instead of using your teeth you hold a fork in your mouth and try and drop the fork into an apple. Or you can hang the apples up on strings and eat these without using your hands, another messy game!!
One Halloween game that can be played with either apples or oranges is Pass the Apple (or Orange!!) – this entails players standing in teams and passing the fruit from one to the other tucked under your chin – no hands allowed! The team that wins is the one that passes the apple from one end to the other the quickest!
Apple paring is a game where each person gets an apple (or an orange) and a peeler (if using apples) and peels it, trying to get the longest piece of peel to win. Another game to play with peel, known as Puicini, is to throw a piece of peel over your shoulder and the shape of the letter that it falls in is meant to predict the first letter of the name of your future husband or wife.
Telling spooky stories is another great Halloween pastime. Don’t forget to turn the lights off and light the candles for some ambience. Hidden accomplices can help with spooky noises or sudden entrances!

Several Halloween games I know are just differentiations of exiting party games. We have the Halloween musical chairs and the freeze dance. Both I certain you already know. It doesn’t hurt to be a little creative with your chairs.
I know it’s only October 1st, but in Salem, we celebrate Halloween all month long. And tonight, residents and visitors lined the parade route along Derby, Washington and Essex Streets to watch the Grand Halloween Parade.
